About the Software
MoxyPHP was built with speed, modularity, and a desire for control in mind. With MoxyPHP you can rapidly build and prototype web applications without having to worry too much about understanding the underlying technology behind it. It is currently in alpha stages of development, but will soon be available for download as it reaches beta stages.
MoxyPHP uses a mix of PHP7, HTML5, jQuery, and Bootstrap.css technologies along with proprietary-yet open framework.
A database schema is to a website what blueprints or floor plans are to a house. A schema describes the data that is fed into the system and the data that comes out. Defining a clear set of data requirements is not unlike building the foundation of a home.
While you are free to use the MoxyPHP framework without a database connection or utilizing our DB components, we take a database-driven approach to website design. If you choose to use more than our framework, you'll find our class generator relies completely on table definitions provided in the database schema.sql file.
You can easily extend or add table definitions to the schema.sql file or even completely replace the ones we have provided for you (for more advanced users). Once you're ready, running our gen.php script will automatically generate PHP classes that you can use to easily access and manipulate those tables.
In addition, you have the option of automatically generating HTML form templates based on those tables! For example, if you have a "user" table, you could modify the generated template and include it as a member registration form for visitors of your site. This takes away the hassle of remembering the field names and redundancy of having to manually code HTML forms.
